I am a follower of Christ + wife + mom + builder of the local church. I love the local church. Like Bill Hybels, I believe it is the hope of the world. I have dedicated my life to serving it.
I grew up Catholic, it’s what you do when you are Hispanic and live in Tucson, Arizona. When I was 15 years old, a serious, Jesus-loving teenager invited me to her youth group (thank you Anna Morgan). It was there that I heard a simple message that changed my life. Jesus died for me, and because of that, I could have a relationship with God. That night everything changed. May, 16, 1996, (the day after I graduated high school) I signed up for a summer internship and have been in ministry ever since. Youth ministry, women’s ministry, small groups, worship, creative arts, media, outreach, missions… my whole adult life has been about building the local church.
I have been married to the great love of my life and best friend, Justin, for over 17 years. We have been on many adventures and served churches in Seattle, Los Angeles and New York City. Our most exciting adventure has been our adoption journey. In September 2012, God blessed us with our son Rocco, who is a firecracker, and definitely worth the wait. In 2014, God lead our family to New York to be a part of Liberty Church, where my husband and I pastored Liberty Church Brooklyn. In 2017, we moved to Seattle to plant a church.
After working as a Creative and Communications Director for churches for over a decade, I decided to pursue new dreams and adventures as a creative consultant and photographer. This is the next chapter of my story.
